Heather Lane Nursery opened in 1986 and is a day centre set on a 6 acre horticulture site. We provide a work environment for our clients with various disabilities to help them build their work and social skills up and progress in areas of interest to them. We also have an indoor day centre Crackermac on the site for clients with reduced mobility and other interests which provides art and craft activities.

Heather Lane Nursery provides a wide range of indoor and outdoor horticulture and related activities on a 6 acre site. We have 8 polytunnels, 5 green houses, 2 fields and a wood workshop onsite. Some of the available activities are sowing seeds, planting, harvesting, weeding, digging, cleaning, watering, painting, recycling, sweeping, produce deliveries, shopping, offsite activities, building repairs, wood work, grass cutting, community projects, polytunnel repairs, on site training courses, summer bbq and christmas dinner party.

Crackermac is located on the nursery and is our indoor center. Crackermac provides various arts and craft activities. Some of the activities available are Christmas cracker making, card making, badge making, wool crafts: knitting, crochet, pompom making, weaving, sewing: patchwork, felt designs, bags, purses, tapestry, rug making, jewellery making, clay work, painting, colouring, collage, paper mache, fantast film flower making, ICT skills: maths, english typing, researching, paper shredding, word searches, puzzles, seasonal crafts, craft kits, sequin art, other craft activities chosen by service users.
